Couplings lubricated with oil or grease also produce viscous friction of the fluid. These frictions will absorb a part of the kinetic energy (damping energy) and convert it into heat energy, which will increase the temperature, which is the damping effect of the coupling. The damping effect can realize the buffering and damping of vibration.
